the trans crossmember had to be notched for the exhaust. the carrier bearing x-member still has enough clearance for the pipe to pass under without touching anything..

The header flanges were hanging past the bottom of the frame. so i had to cut them and bend the flange upwards a few inches. i welded some filler pieces in. problem fixed......

here is the exhaust mocked up with the cats and mufflers.

i think im going to run just the cats and straight pipes. should sound really loud. i never liked the sound the mufflers made. it was to quiet..

if only i could have all the money back i spent on grinding discs and cutoff wheels. these are only half of the disks ive used so far...

take my advise... if you need cutting and grinding wheels. buy the dewalt stainless steel cutting/grinding wheels. they last 10 times longer than the cheapo ones you buy...

I used some rubber covered clamps to secure the tail light harness to the inside of the frame. the fuel and rear brake lines are done the same way..

The cab is almost ready to be put back on the frame for the last time. all i need to do is weld up the exhaust...

reminds me of a dog visiting someone welding on a boat .
de dog was curious and started sniffing on the weldingrod while standing on the steel deck , never seen a dog jump so hight when the welder shorted

to late bk2life... the catalytic converters have been gutted and the mufflers are welded to the cats.. i had it like this before i tore the truck apart. i never noticed the floor getting hot ..
im going to put a couple layers of aluminum backed sound deadner inside the whole truck. that should take care of the heat of the mufflers.
if anything, i will have some heated floorboards in the winter time... mmmm toasty feet...

that's funny about the dog ... i know first hand what it feels like to get shocked by a welder. my lincoln has got me at least 5 times so far... it doesn't feel pleasant...
