thanks bigbear...

scooter-- we are a dying breed my friend....who needs a garage???... not us. we boldly tear our trucks apart in the driveway of our suburban residence, and pollute the neighborhood with sounds of a 4 1/2 inch harbor freight grinder. grinding steel for hours on end.*its actually very loud* the best parts is being frowned upon as the old people who do their daily walks in my neighborhood scratching their heads."what is this guy doing? " even the mailman pulls in and ask questions from time to time and asks "when are you going to finish it?" ...lmao..

congrats on the baby comegetsome..

i wish i had more progress to report guys. but cash is tight , its 100 degrees outside, and i like to sleep when it is daylight , and wake up when the suns goes away... ( i think i have become a vampire..)..lol. anyways....

the c-notches got some needed attention done to them yesterday (right before the sun went down). i really like the way the notches turned out. its alot better/smaller than the cardboard one i made a few pages back.. (i welded them up and trimmed to fit the frame ).more pics later.

i will get some more work done on it today!.(even if i have to drink me some 5 hour energy) ..lmao

to dark to take pics, but i got both notches almost welded up.. i will cut the center frame pieces out tomorrow .....
the inside of the c-notch will need some fishmouths (or some kind of cool looking gussets over the welds) the outside of the notch will have the bag mount plates with gussets on each side ..(more than likely spiderwebs..lol)

ive got to figure out where to get me some flat leaf spring mounting plates for cheap and fast...i thought the stockers would work, but they don't... go figure.. might just buy some 3/8 inch plate and make my own..

thats the exact same way i done my notches.....i believe my notches are actually taller than yours lol....i had to redo the notches on my 03 sierra when i went from 22s to 26s and it was a bitch so i made sure i wouldnt have to do that again lol

semi's are to expensive for my blood.. so i don't think i will ever run a set on my truck ..(not unless i hit the lottery. lol) but i did make sure that in the future it will fit 22's. if i so happen to find some.

i wore myself out yesterday... muscles in my legs are sore.. i may get back out there sometime today.. depends on how hot it is...

the middle frame pieces have been cut out on both sides , and im about 95% done welding it completely.. all of it will get a good smoothing out with the grinder.

i tried out the duplicolor bed armor roll on bedliner on my firewall today. this stuff is water based and easy to clean up. i used a roller to apply it. took about a 2 cups to cover over half the firewall..( it didn't take alot to cover)
At first , after i mixed it up. it was still really clumpy. but as soon as i rolled it on. the texture was turning out to be just like a spray on bedliner..not as thick, but it mimics the "look" of a regular spray bedliner..

i took 2 pics to see if you could see the texture. its not like a rattlecan bedliner (sand and paint mix) this stuff is cool looking..im going to put another coat over it tomorrow to even out everything..
