looking sick, i know i tell you that all the time man lol, and i thought that as well man about jacking the thread BUT, in all fairness, he did ask sparky at that time if it was ok. it was then deemed ok, and shortly after he started own build thread.

(greeting from manila the filipines im sitting here writing from a small riggity desk at a hotel , weather is ok i like it here )
good to know , go look for a set of original headlightbuckets then , dont like the plastic stuff it cracks when it gets cold and the chrome doesnt look right
can you still buy those from GM?

me and sparky started our trucks about the same time, i learned from him, he has learned from me, so i post pics of where i am and where he is at so we compare and ask questions..

its all good guys.. i told bk2life a while ago it was cool if he posted pics or whatnot in my thread. as long as he didn't turn my build thread into his build thread...lol

you guys should have been here when this site first came online.. if you asked a serious question, it would not get answered until 3 or 4 pages of post whoring. how times have changed...lol

i started tearing my truck apart almost 3 years ago. so technically me and bk2life didn't start at the same time. he does work alot faster than i do.

darn... you move around quick...

you cant buy the headlight bezels from gm anymore. but you can find them on ebay.. nos bezels are not going to be cheap.

I'm sorry for this Sparky.. I'm not trying to jack or whore up your thread.

I've been a lurker on here for a few days... saw ( i swear i think he's a brother from another mother) Campy's wrath towards noobs and the creation of the best thread of all times (LOL) THE WHORE THREAD and etc.. So, what you said about the 3 to 4 pages of post whoring, i fully know what you mean.. But i just gotta call BS on this.

lets just say hes been prepairing for his own build for quite some time
the only thing im a bit suprized about is that youre using smaller tires , it seems like youre not planning on running 22 inch truckwheels in the future

as much as i would love to have some 22's on the truck. lets be real...i will never have the money to buy them.(and i wont ever get "free" wheels from a sponser).. . well maybe if i asked...lmao

the reason im going with smaller 16 tires is i am pretty sure a 225-75-16 wont fit under the rear fenders and let my truck lay out in the back..i do not want to have to stretch the rear fenders ..(never really like them. makes the truck look weird ).

i can still set the trucks air bag brackets for the rear to lay on 22's and use the 16's.... i will have to use air bag spacers .(about 2 inches) or get bigger airbags with more lift..)
the front may not need to have the lower control arms "cupped" running a 16" wheel. it may give me enough room in between the top airbag mount and the lower arm to just use a flat plate to cover the top of the lower a-arm.. this is all just speculation...lol.. i need to get outside and work on it some more to see how everything is going to fit and work.. i need 2 more tires..

nothing wrong with running 16s man...there sweet. we all would love to have 22s, 24s ect, they are a big chunk of change. anyways, so you saying you may not utilize the cupped lower now and just put a plate over it? jus out of curiosity, why did you cup them to begin? were you anticipating runnin bigger wheels or you wanted the extra drop? thats not a smart ass question, i know you cant hear my tone lol. i was just curious man.

maibe you be able to find a set of steel rims for a P30 (bread)truck or from an old motorhome these look better than the 16.5's painted white
