Making any progress with this warm winter so far?? Not sure about your area, but it's been 50's and 60's here and we're not that far apart. Hopefully you can get this things finished up before the snow falls.

i don't have alot to report...lots of stuff is being built in my head. i just cant seem to get outside at a decent hour to do anything...

i did buy 45ft of 1/4" airline, a new carrier bearing and 1 universal joint for the end of the driveshaft. i already changed out the trans yoke u-joint. the middle u-joint is still good...
im having a good old time trying to get the old carrier bearing off . it has never been changed .im just about to break out the grinder and cut it off..lol

i was lacking 1 airbag for the rear, so i snagged a good used re7 off ebay . well, it took over 2 weeks to get it , and it ended up having a hole rubbed through the outer rubber layer.
i should have just bought a brand new one instead of trying to "cheap out"...lesson learned

That's awesome bro...well not about the bag, but about everything else. I know what you mean about building shit in your head. I do that all day at work and than when I get home I just don't have the time or energy to go put the plan in motion.
So your using 1/4" air line throughout the entire truck?? Is there any reason for that or just because of cost of bigger valves, fittings, and air line??

thanks,

the cost of valves and switchbox,wire,etc.. is the reason im using paddle valves and 1/4" airline. plus the paddle valves are setup to use 1/4" airline.hopefully it should be enough to get the truck off the ground.

im trying to keep everything simple. the last s-10 i bagged used one of those fancy 650.00 air management systems from helix that took 200ft of wire, 8 separate relays,8 valves,5 air sensors, air comp, switchbox. and everything was hooked up to the brainbox. and i hadnt even mounted the airbags or c-notched the truck yet . it was a nightmare.. it cost the guy almost 2300.00 to bag his junky little s-10..lmao... no way im paying that much..my truck would never get bagged...lol

(i didnt get a pic after i finished it) but here is a couple pics of the s-10 i bagged. i got the front and back bagged. but it needed to be 4 linked in the rear. it would not lay out using the leaf springs. he took the truck home before i could 4 link it. ( his money ran out)

i got a friend who wanted to mono leaf his s10 back in the day...it didnt lay out either....so i took the leafs off and flipped them upside down so they were arched upside down....laid like a champ till he drug a hole in the gas tank lol

at laying like a champ... but a hole in the gas tank is scary $hit

i was thinking about flipping the leafs. but somebody already put lowering blocks on the rear. and all the u-bolts were bent up really bad from being caught on something.. i bent them back straight, but the screwed up threads wouldn't let me back the bolts off. so i decided to not mess with it...

just for seeing if it would work you could turn the whole axle spring package upside down and remount , its not for permanent use though as the car would have 4 gears backwarth and one forwarth

if he likes the look he has to shelve out for the u bolts

or if youre removing the loweringblocks for the springflip adaption cut the tread off under the bolts , once the blocks are gone you have plenty tread to remount the u bolts

this made me laugh...

i bet that would be a fun truck to drive....

kinda like a tow motor...
