I love to see someone making some progress at least lol.
I just got done going through the compressor debate not long ago and decided to go with the York 210 EDC. I already have a cheap electric Viair knock off from chassis tech (or whatever they want to call themselves). I doubt it would last very long so I'm going to mount it for a back up. The York seems like the way to go though. You can get one cheap and fab up a mount and have a pretty damn good recovery time, and never have to worry about an electric motor burning up. Just be sure to check your oil and run a good oil/air separator lol. The way I looked at it was 1 York 210 on Ebay is about the same as 1 cheap 12v compressor and won't fry alternators.
Keep up the good work bro. Your so close now.

i wonder of its possible to use a compressor out of a semitruck , there made for this kind of stuff

Most of the York 210's do come out of semi's. You can usually get used ones from the yards for about $65 bucks

they use those as aircompressors for their brakes ?

the compressor you are talking about actually is bolted to the engine and is basically part of the engine. completely different compressor then the york A/C compressor.

but i have had one on all my toys for use as the air compressor, i will never use electric ever again. york A/C compressor is silent, builds air pressure fast, and turns on at 165 and off at 200psi..

Yea......from experience, I wouldnt use them cheap electric compressors. Ive had 2 of them go out on me. Ive now switched to Viair 380 comps. and havnt had a single bit of problem with them. Either way bud, keep up the good work. That list will eventually get smaller and youll be happier than a fat kid in a candy store when youre done.

well guys... the carrier bearing i bought from summit doesn't fit. it is way to big. looks like it belongs to a semi truck...
(at least i can send it back to summit for a refund)

i know of a driveshaft shop right down the road. im going to let them figure out which carrier bearing it needs, and let them install it.

the 12v comps will probably be a temporary way to get some air until i can figure out how to mount the york on the engine, or mount the winch motor to the york........

i will keep plugging away at this thing... im not going to let it whip me......

take a look at the vintage air serpentine system , not so mush to buy it but more the way it mounts

they use the four bolts of the waterpump for the bracket to mount all the hardwhare off , those holes are the same on all engines they dont use any of the holes in the head so all the pullies are in line every time on all engines of the same make
it looks realy clean too , you might be able to dril/ burn/ grind/ file a bracket for all the hardwhare out of a plate of thick steel

Kilby does allot with York kits. You could get some ideas there. On my Bravada I made a bracket to hold the York and a spare alt for the welder. They aren't that hard to make.
