If you go the engine driven way just be sure to get a york 208,209, or 210. I've seen guys trying to sell EDC kits using Sanden compressors like most newer GM's run and I have heard horrible thing about the life span and the amount of crankcase oil they pump out with the air.
About using the winch motor what is the duty rate on the motor portion of it?? Winches usually don't get ran more than a few seconds at a time. I've seen a kit from chassis tech using a winch looking motor on an EDC and the duty cycle was terrible. It said it had to shut down and cool off after a couple minutes of use. Just a thought. Keep up the killer work homie.

Sparky, sorry to hear about your dad man. That sucks. I lost mine a couple years ago and it's awesome you got to be there for him. God bless you brother.

I'm really sorry to hear that Sparky. I lost my dad in 2008 unexpectedly. I know what your going through homie. Just try to remember the good times and take care of your business. It's one of the shittiest things I've ever gone through but I think I came out of it a stronger person and I'm sure you will to in time. I'll be praying for you and your family brother.

I feel for ya Sparky- i don't know what I'll do when my dad goes. Handle your business man- the truck will be there when you are ready.

thanks guys.... im trying to keep it together.....the come and go....

it happened all of a sudden. he had some stomach pains, so he went to the hospital. 36 hours later he was gone...

he was just over at my house a few days ago checking out my truck . he told me it looked very good and close to being done.curious on what i lacked on it..... /and in a country voice/
" sure would be nice to see the truck when your done with it."
i told him ... "im trying to get it finished. i want to see it to. "layed out the ground"
we both looked at each other ,smiled and started to laugh. he shook his head .turned and walked to his truck. i 1 arm hugged him, told him i love ya . he left and went home....
that was the last conversation i had with him .....

lets just say he has a birdseye view of it when youre done with it

dont swear too mush while working on it (or do if you think youre father would get a chuckle out of it )

hope you do ok , they often say the real hit comes mush later in the grievingprocess , try to stay somewat busy

That's crazy man. My last conversation with my dad was about an old truck I was dumping at the time also. They'll always be watching over our progress now, and your truck will mean ever more to you now when your driving it down the road. If you need someone to talk to man don't be afraid to hit me up. Just shoot me a message or something. I've been in your shoes before and it's the roughest thing you'll probably ever have to go through. Just try to keep your head up, and stay busy with something to keep your mind occupied.
