if you just weld up your 2 link solid you will get less side to side movement than with that panhard bar...mine doesnt have any kinda panhard and it doesnt get over 1/2 inch of movement

hhhmmmm....i dont have the link bars welded solid to the rear end. just clamped with ubolts. that would be doing the same thing as welding the link bars together...good idea...

thanks krewzlo, i thought a wishbone wouldnt work with a 2 link that was hard mounted to the rear end....

the panhard isnt going to work for sure.. it would if i was static dropped.

I forgot all about your lower bars being mounted solid to the axle tube. That makes it even more of an interesting issue.

Yea man mine is just a 2 link with no panhard bar....its welded solid and also bolted so that if welds ever broke my rear would come out from under my truck....gets very little side to side and ive have several trucks built like that with zero issues...but if your tire to fender clearance is very tight id recommend the watts as the work beautifully

im going to try it without the panhard bar. but before i weld everthing up. i am going to make sure i dont have any issues with my pinion angle making any strange vibrations.
im not sure about tire clearance yet. i havent had a chance to put the bed back on while the truck is layed out. i forgot i still need to cut the pinch weld off the bottom of the bed...hhhmmmmm

hmmmm that might just work put an X between the 2 links that way it can still flex a little left to right

Hey Sparky I was thinking about your lateral movement issue today, and was wondering what you had the front of your bars bolted to?? Did you bolt them up inside your factory leaf spring hangers? I was just wondering if there was a bit of movement from an older hanger. If there is ya might be able to shim the sides with some washers the same diameter as your bushings of something of that nature like shimming a harley wheel. Not sure if that would help or if there is even any play there. Just throwing ideas out hoping something sticks lol. Let us know whenever ya get back out there and what you figure out.

good looking out bagged...i used some 3 inch wide end links from sucidedoors on my 2 link bars.

the stock leaf springs are the same width (3") . so they fit very tightly inside the stock leafspring hanger. i wouldnt be able to fit a shim.

i wonder if i could use some delrin bushings to keep the link bars straight. along with welding the link bars to the rear end...

whatayaknow,

i dont have any room to weld a X on the link bars. they are on the outside of the frame... the only think i could do is weld a bar to connect the ends of the 2 link bars together.

orrr.. i could spend 500.00 for a brand new 4 link...
