broke trans in half... not much fun

WTH!!!!!!!!!!! How did you manage to break the transmission in half? Was it because of the Z'd frame? Just asking cuz I'm about a week from cutting mine in half for a 3 1/2" Z. Hopefully all goes well in fixing it and back on the road soon. Been watching and plotting my coarse after yours for about a year now, SWEET A$$ RIDE MAN!!!!!!!!!

has nothing to do with the z'd frame, because my trans mount is raised also. but none-the-less a z wont hrut anything as the rear trans mount is rubber and it'll just point the motor and trans upward when you raised the front.

why the trans broke is beyond us right now. we haven't taken it out, it is possible i had a cracked case when we had it rebuilt. it probably doesn't help the motor makes a little power and i smoke all the tires any chance i get, it's really fun to get sideways in a big ass dually..

so i'll get back to ya when we get a better idea of what happened..

Did figure it would but had to ask. Love the truck, the hood turned out KILLER!!!!!!!!! Do have a few questions about your front suspension. What all did you do up besides the Z'd frame? Spindles? Drop arms? I kinda figured out your running air bags, kinda self explainitory, but what else have you done? You had also stated earlier about your bridge going to house your fifthwheel/goose neck hitch. Any pictures of that setup or possible hooked to the trailer?

LOVE THE TRUCK, keep up the GREAT work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

stock spindles, stock control arms. UCA's are pie cut, LCA's have 8" tube mounted in them for lower bag mount. frame where coil spring would sit is modified to allow LCA to come up way higher than where its supposed to. upper bag mount is welded into the upper portion of the frame. think of it this way, where the upper bolt-on bag plates bolt to the spring cup, mine is cut about 2 inches higher then where those plates would bolt in with the four bolts.

this allows the LCA to articulate and come up way higher thus not needing spindles.

when i get the semi wheels on, i will have to rebuild the control arms to mate up with the 3/4 ton hubs.

ill post some pics tonight of the hitch
