any tips for building a bus like this? I think I may be looking at one this weekend. Is there anything you would do different? Specific issues you ran into other than having to tub basically everything on the drivers side?

you should redoe the vinyl sticker on the back door so it says it is unlawfull to pass when dragging.

cool bus realy liking it , maibe you get some more leftfootroom if you move the pedals and steeringcolumb back untill the pedals are in about the same line as the back of the inner fender

i even had a realy weird image in my head of the (rotating?)driversseat in the middle of the cab behind the engine with the driversfeet straddling the enginecowl on both sides , the dash and steering mounted on top of the cowl
that way you can use both frontdoors to get in or out from the backseats and from the driversseat you have a place that allready sticks inside the cabine to mount the dash and the steering ontoo a place on the original dash to mount some realy huge speakerpods (depending wat you want for a soundsystem) and you can still see both rearviewmirrors from there
if you make a long table behind the driverseat , and turn the seat around youre right at the head of the table with the side seatrows going down the sides of it and everyone is still able to get out both sides
the steering linkage prolly will be tricky and you need to be able to lift the whole dash steer cowl thing towarth the window to be able to work on the engine
maibe you can use some hydraulic steeringsetup like they use in ships and agriculture stuff

Any updates on this beast? Also what size are the wheels on it?

Yeah! Updates!

Pretty sure those are your standard 16" Alcoas (or maybe the Eagle copies of them?) They look great on this ride!

Sorry guys, nothing new on the bus. I was burnt out on getting it to Lowdown I just haven't worked on it since. I'm trying to finish a friends S10 project so I can have some room in the garage again. I think she'll fix by about 2 inches in the garage, I've got my fingers crossed.

Richard: The wheels are Eagle Alloys. There damn close to the Alcoas just less expensive.

Going back and looking at the first pic with just a couple lugs on, they appear to be stud piloted with a shank style lug?

For a minute the hub face appearance had me wondering if they were cast instead of forged, but the weight specs have me thinking they're probably forged, 16's weighing around 20lbs and the 19.5's being around 34lbs sounds about same as Alcoa forged weight.
