I went a little to far on pie cutting my uppers and someone was nice enough to give me their stock uppers but I may see if I can get your lowers. I'm gunna take a stab at redoing mine to save having to get a new set. How much do you want for the lowers??

Starting to make a bit of progress again. I've just about got the right lower arm done. I've just had to keep trimming the boxed area until its not rubbing the bag any where and than I'll have to patch those areas in again. Hoping to have them completely done this next week.

The new hood freshly stripped. In great shape for a factory hood from 1987.
I forgot to mention I've got my front door in the shop also about done. I shaved everything except the handle. I'm gunna keep it for now. Not sure if I'll ever shave the handles. I kinda like the old push button handles. Also if anyone knows of any where that sells power window motors, switches, or weather stripping please point me in the right direction.

LMC truck in Kansas City sells all of the items you mentioned, i think they even sell new body mounts and the catalog has some helpfull specs and info on these trucks.

Aren't they about the highest priced place inthe industry?? I have a couple of their catalogs but it seemed like they were twice as much as any where else. Am I just imagining things and their prices aren't bad or does anyone else think their over priced on most everything??

You could also check out classicparts.com, and classicindustries.com. But classic industries is expensive. I've always had good luck with classicparts and LMC? Just a couple of ideas, those three are the ones I have used and had good luck with?

If someone with a square body crew cab gets a couple of free minutes it would be awesome if you would take a look at your cab mounts for me. I need to know how thick the bushings are at each location front, middle, and back. Not sure if their different thickness or not and that's about the best way I can think of to figure it out. I can't find that info any where else. I even have an original service manual for square body trucks from a Chevy dealership and can't find it in there. So if anyone gets a chance to measure their cab bushing thickness it would be a HUGE help.

under the cab are all the same. and if i remember correclty from a body lift we did several years ago, the core support rubber mounts are the same as under the cab. its been awhile, i could be wrong. we installed poluerethane moutns and all bushings were the same from what i remember

I got one of my control arms done tonight finally. I thought I had it done a while back until I got it on and compressed the bag. I had the cut the entire back out of the arm for clearance and plate and box all of it. I'll post some pix when it's not dark. I've gotta try to get this other arm done tomorrow also. I really need to get this thing rolling again before winter so I can get it to the shop and keep working through the winter. As soon as the control arms are done I'm gunna get the drive line done, fab the battery boxes, rig up a temporary fuel tank out of 1 of the factory tanks for now and see if I can get it running again. I hate letting engines sit very long without running. Getting fluids back in the cummins and getting it running are top priority before winter gets here. Hopefully I can get it all done before snow hits.

im pretty sure the bushings all are the same size .except for the rears. i will get you some measurments tomorrow..

my hats off to you for getting so much work done in a short amount of time. .. it would have taken me another 2 years to squeeze a cummins 6bt in my truck...lmao

would a 4bt fit under the hood better than a 6bt? or are they both the same size engines?
