Thanks man I appreciate it.

Work keeps dragging me down but I'm supposed to have this thing at least rolling with the cab on it in less than a month for a local show. So I've gotta get back hard at it again this week.
The chassis is hanging in the shop right now so as soon as I get there in the morning we'll get the silver laid down on the chassis.

My girlfriend and I managed to stay at the shop late enough to get the chassis done. It took us a couple hours to get all the tube work covered but I think I finally got it all covered and got the metallic looking pretty nice for a single stage with terrible lighting. This is the same silver we're using as a 2nd color over the blue on the body. The blue and this silver look amazing together.

Thanks DZL1!! I really appreciate it.

Well tonight is the night we started finally assembly of the old truck. It's been at least a year or two since we started this and I never thought it would be finished. As of tonight the end is in sight though. We only spent a couple hours on it and got the rear axle in and most or the rear suspension completely installed and done. I was going to paint the axle silver until I really looked at it and it was just way to much silver. So I opted to paint the rear axle, front suspension parts, and before it's over all of my brakes in satin black. It really helped break up all of the silver.
Tomorrow we'll hopefully get the front suspension done and possibly get the engine and trans bolted down for good.

Looks amazing, keep the pics coming. They keep many of us motivated to continue to work on ours.

I'm really glad to hear that my thread can serve as motivation for some of you guys. When I was first starting this truck other guys build threads is often times what kept me pushing forward. So to hear that I can be that same type of motivation for some of you other guys is an honor.

We didn't get a lot done today. Today was my birthday so I was pretty lazy all day. I did get the lower control arms painted and installed and got the steering components all decreased and cleaned up and ready to be bolted on. The upper control arms that are on it are junk and were just a temporary thing we just used to experiment with different ball joint angles. So a member on here graciously sent me another set of stock uppers. Tomorrow I'm going to try to get the new ones pie cut and installed. We also got the front of the cab mostly done. We got the wiper motor painted up and got all the linkage rods and parts cleaned up and installed. After tomorrow the truck should be a roller again and possibly have the engine sitting on the chassis again. After that we just need to get the cab back on and it's all little fun stuff from than until it's complete.
I was looking at it today and I think I'm going to try and get the exhaust done before the cab goes on. Probably a little easier than doing it from the under side with the cab in the way.
Tomorrow before I leave I'll snap some more pix of the progress.

Sure thing man. Just shoot me a message with your phone number if you need anything. It's not terribly complicated and there's a lot of different ways of doing a lot of it.
