THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENTS MAN!
thanks for the compliments on the rear as well.

It all comes down to wether your truck needs a Z, its rare but some of them dont have to have it. mine is one of those rare ones.

without the Z mine bottomed out on the bags before it ever touches the ground. (with a tall tire)
so it needed bout 1.5" touching the ground, so i stepped them 2" (Its basically like adding another 2" of drop to your spindles.) In other words, a 5" drop spindle.

by doing all that, you get 2" of drop without a Z. if your trucks needs a Z then its pointless to step them IMO.

THE ONLY DOWN SIDE IS, YOUR ARMS HANG A LIL LOWER.

gotcha. I guess I'm confused on what the Z is then. I thought it was making reference to bodydropping but apparently not!!

You have been really bust lately! I like the inner fenders. How much was the trailer fender? And I take it that you took one and cut it in half?

well the Z is for getting the frame to lay flat mainly. the u-bolts on the lower arms hang lower than everything else, so if you dont Z the frame then when it lays out, the front sets higher than the back cuz its settin on those u-bolts. Z-ing the frame tucks those bolts up even with everything else so it can lay flat. AND IF YOU DRAG WITH THOSE BOLTS HANGING DOWN, IT'LL BE BAD JUJU! LOL.

the best way to tell if it needs a Z is just find you a way of using a straight edge on the frame and see if its even with those bolts.

mine is not Z'd any what so ever.

there pros and cons to either way you do it.

the body drop and the Z kinda go hand in hand, it you gona Z it, then body dropping isnt much farther away.

"you already dropping the front frame horns down for a z so why not go a little more" that sorta idea.

and when you chop it at the firewall for the z, stock flooring it isnt much further away.

but if you body drop it by cutting the bottom of the frame off, your Z will have to be taller. cuz (you cut the bottom off, then your right back where you started with them damned ole U-Bolts again. lol.)

but cutting the top off, you can have a normal sized Z.

everyone does it different. lol.

thanks man i appreciate it!!

I didnt think they were too bad for my first ones, and a bein a 23 year old kid doin it lol.

yeah it slow goins but im trying to widdle it down lol.

i think i gave like 40-50 bucks for that fender and at a big metal dealer (Wheeler metals)

yeah i just cut it right into, it fits perfect from touching the firewall plum to the original bolt holes on the back of the core support.

i really like the tear drop look of them on the sides. and they dont cover everything up to where you cant see nothin.
