Well I was gonna go with the taped back to reinforce the glass when I laid it down but that seemed to be too much. Turned out to be a huge mess, not only that but the chemicals In the tape didn't quite mix well and it didn't allow it to cure properly so I had to take it all out and redid it.

This time I did it for. The inside and taped non stick tin foil to the outside and laid it down upside down and layed two layers of mat then poured the resin. I soaked the mat in the resin prior to layi g it down and then soaked the area with resin then laid the mat.

you are scruffing the whole area pretty good right? Not just laying it on top of smooth fiberglass? I would try to go 1.5-3" into the existing fender with some 36 grit to give the new 'glass something to bite into. If you are- disregard this statement.LOL

Yes indeed scuffing it up. I extended the glass about 1.5-2" onti the old fender
