Hey, I'm new around here, and I have read your thread from front to back. Had one quick question though, what size tires are you running on the 16" alcoas in your signature pic? I saw where you said it had 215/85-16's, but were gunna change them over to 225/70-16's, just wondering which of the two was on it in that particular picture... I'm planning on 3" spindles and 3" lower control arms with stock springs on my '79 just trying to figure out what rubs and what doesn't... thanks for any help.

The backs were 215/85r16 the fronts were 285/70r16. The fronts rubbed when it was lowered

79- if you dont mind me askin... What are your thoughts on running 22s on the outside and stock steel 16s on the inside? Anybodys opinion would help!

I was gonna do it but i had to extend the fenders for that so i figured i would run the dual 22s.

I see no issue with doing it. Just make sure the tire height is the same one both tires. The 16" steel inner and the outter 22

How far were they gonna stick out for you runnin the steel inners?

About 3 inches i think

Wow really? So I bet it was gonna be like 6in for 4 semis... Im gonna run the steel inners and mill the face of the 22s. I REALLY dont wanna widen my fenders.

Well with the dual 22s on the back im getting away with ;only extending mine 4 1/16 inch. Each truck is diff i know some members have the shortened rearend c & c for sale on here. That will keep u from extending ur fenders
