Que ?

Well, that's all done...

I even changed the antenna & cable!

For the driver door I was able to swap everything from my original door (lock cylinder, door handle, door card, interior handle, etc.) onto my new door. The only thing I couldn't do was properly align the driver door. I think the lower hinge is a bit bent out of shape. However, a local body shop owner suggested I lower the striker a bit to accomodate the angle.

I'll be posting some pics as soon as the weather clears up... damn rain !!

I think this last pic is the classiest...

As soon as I have access to my brother's heated garage I will be giving "The Red machine" another coat of "Communist Red" before winter really sets in.

Now that my Honda Civic wagon is on the fritz (transmission problems) the B2000 will be my main vehicular transport until Spring!!

Thank you and I appreciate your comments about the bed.

The previous owner (my brother) removed the bed several years ago for 2 reasons: 1) it was rotten right through and 2) he was going to use the truck to carry lumber for his school/business needs.

Given that my brothers and I recently went into business together to renovate and sell houses, I believe the truck is perfectly suited to its new role as workhorse to carry building supplies, sheet rock lumber, etc. I built the deck out of 2X6 pressure-treated lumber so it could withstand the abuse of carrying all this without me having to worry about looks too much. If I damage a board I can simply unscrew and replace it.

A colleague of mine saw the truck for the first time yesterday and said it suited me and my inclination for owning unusual vehicles...

dude it looks so much better now thats red.

looks pretty awsome,
are you going to paint the custom bed?
lalunette   +1y

Ya, I think red is the right color for it.

I'm still trying to decide what color to paint the custom bed... the wood will stay as is but the rails need to be sanded and painted.

What do you suggest?
