Looks like my old pic links are dead.
It's been on major hiatus for the last 3 years anyway. I've just jumped back on to it out of necessity and it should be up and running in two weeks.
Major progress lately and I have a FB page for it.
No notch for now, picked up some bad ass Volk TE-37 6 lug rims (Nismo sticker branded) and got rid of the Titan rims. They were just way too big to run if I wasn't going to go airbag, plus I got an amazing deal on two sets of Volks brand new in the box. I rebuilt the entire front suspension, added DJM lower arms, all new joints, steering bits, etc. Wish I could have found a power steering set up at the junkyard but no luck.
Took the entire engine out for a refresh, turned out it had perfect compression and leak down after 220k miles. So I left the head on it and replaced everything else. New oil/water/fuel pumps, Weber carb, Pacesetter header, complete scrubbing and painting (bright blue and medium blue metallic) of the block and etc, valve seals and lifters, belts and hoses. New clutch, slave cylinder, and center bearing. Also scrubbed the ever living cuss out of the engine bay and painted it with crinkle coat "bed liner" though it seems a bit abrasive for bedliner, it looks great under hood. Sending off a bunch of rusted and gross parts to be CeraKoted, various brackets (battery tray), hood hinges, etc so they look nice. Most of that will be black, the Valve cover is going to be bright white.
Fixed a rusted section at the top of the windshield with new metal, replaced the windshield at the same time, started down the lonely road of body work and only got so far before I ran out of concern and cash. Eventually I'll get the drivers side bed, door and fender all fixed up. Also plan on shaving the drip rail and the little covers over the cab vents behind the pop out side glass. Just to update it to look like newer vehicles. The plan is bright white paint after all is said and done. New front bumper, valence, grill, lights, end caps. Not shaving anything besides the antenna hole and B2200 side logos. I like door locks and handles. The Texas style rear bumper stays, it's useful and looks the part.
Currently hustling through the last bit if getting it to run again. Going to toss some air shocks in the back so I can yank a uhaul trailer full of my stuff on my way back to CA from TX at the end of the month. I will probably put regular shocks back in it when I get there, I just don't feel like removing the blocks, or riding on frame the entire way. No time or money to do the RX7 axle swap (disc brakes and LSD) with four link, and notch at this time.
Interior I'm redoing also because I'm completely insane and why the hell not right? Well I took out the rear plastic and lost half of it. Luckily LA has some great junk yards and I should be able to find what I'm missing when I get there. For now it's two and a half bulk kits of dynamat, new black carpet, tint, and some heavy scrubbing. Also managed to score a set of brand new black seats from a Nissan 370Z with seat belts. Came out of a friends race car, was transported from the dealership to his house where the interior was gutted and caged, so I'm pretty sure the seat belts have never even been clicked to the seat yet. I'm making some brackets for those middle of next week. I'll be able to retain the full slider on the seat. The belts themselves basically bolt right in, I have to trim a small bit of metal at the top of the opening, but the same bolts and sizing, not to mention the shoulder bracket is much nicer on these and they are black so they match all the other new black interior. Compustar alarm and door locks will hopefully happen this week, may have to wait till next with all the other happenings going on.
WHEW, I'll post more, but pics will all be on the FB page.
