Just to show a little progress. And since my old pics are dead...

Ended last week with some of this action.

Managed this bit to clean it up a little. (not big on bolts, or hoses with golf tees)

And this is how the intake ended up.

Had a bunch of other bits sand blasted and powder coated. Chose a black crinkle coat because it covers up any minor flaws, and looks more new car OEM.

Lots of time the last week has been spent cleaning up wiring.

Now I implore you to hit up FB for the updates. Once the truck is running I'll be updating with various events and trips I make in the truck, plus any future mods, paint, etc.

She's gone from GROSS.

Dang it you did it before I could. I was going to do a bright colored valve cover. Looks really good like that.

Thanks man. The truck is going back to white. Well a real bright white, not the stock dingy white. So I wanted the valve cover to match and be durable. It really sets off with the whole underhood being black and blue. I thought the gold foil wrapped cover on the Weber would look better. I might wait to see what it looks like with the truck repainted, right now it seems a bit out of place but everything else under the hood looks exactly how I was wanting it to.

Wow that looks great!

Oh god. It cranked for like 30 seconds to prime fuel. Started right up, idles perfectly. Turned it off after a minute, and it literally started on the first revolution. Trucks alive after 2.5 years of being completely apart.

Still need to finish the radiator fan shroud and mount the fan. Need to bleed the brakes, and clutch. Bolt the hood and tailgate on. Weld up a temporary muffler to the extra pipe that comes with the header. Then driving down to the shop (15-ish miles) tomorrow to finish the truck up and toss it on the dyno and build some seat brackets.

Picking up the Uhaul trailer on Saturday and loading it up and heading for California early AM Sunday. WOOO. Yeah I'm crazy, it's whatever.

Finalized the cowl vent covers. Cowl should get sanded and prinered tomorrow I hope. Kind of running out of time lol.

Almost done, bleeding and burping, testing radiator and fan, adjusting timing and carb tonight. Woo
