Hello Everybody
Kam here.
To start the day off right, Let me introduce myself as your soon to be resident brony. (that's a My Little Pony fan if anybody here is confused)
Don't worry though. I'll keep on topic.

Not 3 weeks ago, i purchased a Mazda B2600i from a... craigslist posting. But hey, it was a grand.

Well... 2 grand after the clutch and a few other things broke. Oopsies!

But hey... so far its being a great lil' truck. I love it to death already. Its relatively rust free, its ride is... kinda rough, it drives like a go-kart, and... jeze... I love everything about it so far, just have to fix a few things.

Anyway, why I brought up MLP was that I am making the truck to a theme, most specifically to the color scheme of Rarity (the white one with the purple mane) If anybody has some cool ideas for making a good looking truck, I'd be happy to take suggestions.

Anyway, without further ado, here she is... as I bought her. (im not in the shot.)

Ammendum:

Things I've done.
1- bought mazda B2600i for 1000 dollars cash
2- Fixed the gas tank issue. Big friggin hole. As it turns out, one of the mounts (tube between the frame rails) was made of rust, and the tank fell down onto the filler neck, splitting at the seam. Fixed with... a length of cast iron pipe, some heavy duty metal straps, epoxy, and a spray can of sealant.)
3- Clutch replacement. (throwout bearing 'sploded) (had the mechanic do that one. OUCH $790)
4- Rocker arm cover gasket.
5- Clutch Master Cylinder
6- white paint (In progress)
7- ordered personal plate "R8RITY"
8- i forgot 8... screw 8. 9 time
9- Glued MLP figurines to the dashboard.
10- Spark Plugs, and some hoses.
11- fixed bodywork (not entirely yet)

Things I need to do
1- Windshield
2- Suspension Bushings ((If anybody knows a good manufacturer for a complete kit, let me know))
3- Sound System
4- Tailgate latch
5- Purple stripe and detailing
6- straighten bumpers
7- fix bodywork more
8- get that parking light
9- remove resonator, cold air intake, and scoop
10- Straighten exhaust pipe and go to duals.
11- fix up interior
12- run out of money
13- cry for I have to leave it in st louis during sophmore year o' college.

For curiosity's sake. This truck has 231,000 miles right now.

Welcome to the forum, interesting theme for a truck. It is a rarity to have a B2600i, they are a desirable truck.

FWIW, my mother named her brand new 88 B2200 'Rarity,' which was a name I kept when it became mine in 2002. Rarity passed away in 2005 from an infected transmission.

welcome to the scene but please, please don't f*** your truck up by putting all the brony stuff on it. I'm an otaku and I wouldn't roll around with anime girls all over my trucks. Plus if you ever wanted to sell it it no one would want it with the hassle of removing glue on a dashboard.

Is this a joke?!

i wonder if it is too, but u never know, could be a theme for his daughter, or could have some other meaning, so lets see what happens, clean truck btw.

Welcome.

How about a purple headliner to match the mane? Are you going to paint the truck or keep it the same color? If you paint it, I'd say white to match the pony and on the bed on the rear right quarter have the three blue diamonds added.

Don't let the nay sayers get you down. It's just a truck, have fun with it.

1- No this is not a Joke
2- Why not? 1000 dollar truck. I'm not selling, I'm driving it and using it as a work truck
3- I'm 19, male, and this IS my truck.
4- Hmmm... purple headliner sounds cool. Know any suppliers, or do I have to make that myself?

there might be, id google it and see. however, I think there is some kind of vinyl paint you could use for the interior/headliner.

My girlfriend and her friends make custom pony animal things... I was a little concerned at first until I found out they sell them for HUNDREDS of dollars each... 30$ in materials, couple hours and ship it $30 becomes $300...for a stuffed horse... There's jewelry and clay animals all over the place that people buy like crazy... They enjoy making them so it gives me an excuse to enjoy the garage more lol Idk, I don't get it but to each there own.

I will say, if your going to do this theme please do a good job at it, I've Seen awesome ideas look like crap and crapy ideas look awesome because of the time and effort put into it. As for the headliner and other stuff. Search YouTube, I've lived on that site trying to learn damn near everything these past few months and every once in a while you'll find some really good videos, alot of this stuff is easier than you would think if you take your time to do it right.

Good luck with it and enjoy your b anyway you see fit, as long as you like the end result that's all that matters.
