what im told is that the exhaust must exit past the cab of the truck so the exhaust fumes do not go into the cab- UNBOLTING the tail pipe puts it no where near the cab - its at or around the axle area.its still pasted to cab and is able to exit .

ive found a guy to inspect mine. its the owner of a local custom shops(cool sports) dad lol. he said as long as i dont hit no switches when i come in he will just tack me on a tailpipe and pass it, and i can break the shit off when i get home. Thats all i really can do i guess. in nc the actual law is that the tailpipe has to come to the outside of the body. Vidraggin- why dont they have to take thier trucks to the inspector?

I LIVE IN THE HUNTSVILLE AREA OF N. BAMA, AND WE DON'T HAVE INSPECTIONS YET, I HEAR IN THE NEAR FUTURE WE WILL THOUGH. HOPE I GET MY TRUCK RUNNING BEFORE THEY START, MAYBE IT COULD BE "GRANDFATHERED" IN.......

yeah pa inspection sucks, but i have a friend that passes all my vehicles, i know michigan doesnt have inspection either, i figured that out halfway home when i bought my truck out there and was driving it back and saw there were no stickers on my windshield, but yeah the whole exhaust out past the vehicle thing, go to pep boys, buy a BLING BLING chrome exhaust tip, bolt it on before you go for inspection,t hen take it off when you get home, and for the working air suspension or whatver someone had said about that, wire in a switch to the positive wire for the swith box, i have one on mine so that when i take it to a shop, the switch is hidden, i just turn the power to the switch box off after the truck is all the way up that way some jackass cant go hittin my switches and screwing something up, it would be the same thing, just hit some switches and show them that your adjustable suspension " doesnt work right now "

lmao. yeah the BLING exhaust tip would work if i wasnt bagged lol. they can see through the bed where its cut off right after the muffler. that switchbox thing is a good idea. i have a problem w/friends gettin in there and messin w/my switches.

Inspection in Ohio is different county-to-county. But here in PA its a state wide law. So obviously it varies by state as to how it's broken up. In PA the exhaust only needs to exit the CAB. Not the body. Here is everything you need to know for PA.

In Atlanta we have inspections, but my truck is registered in my home county down in south ga. So lucky me.

(5) An exhaust system shall extend and discharge completely to the outside edge of the vehicle body, including a truck bed, or as originally designed.
