on paper it sounds like a good idea esp for the highway mpg, but from standstills, you've gotta bring up the revs a lil higher to get the car moving, so you instantly feel slooower, and it's not like the trucks 4 banger has a the broad power range, so you end up getting pretty shitty local gas mileage from the extra efforts from the much revving and passing is a chore in 5th gear. If you had a V6 or V8, it probably wouldnt really matter but all 85 of those wild horses arent as strong as we would like em to be.

Wow Lime without the lift, if you'd just raised the front a lil that wouldn't have been too bad Not good for running off road I'm sure but around the city it wold look ok. Thanks for posting the pics.

And I see what you mean with the 4x4 rear being to high lol. Got some serious rake there.

That's why emailed them Slammed, to see if it was for "our" Mazdas. No reply yet

I'm sure you've got a point there Brain

I'm sittin stock, ready for a 3 or 4" drop in the back and crank down the front. No bags for me,I don't want to cut up my truck and crap.......yet.

I'll drop it if I ever get it back from the shop. It doesn't take 3 weeks to rebuild a motor. F*cking crap!

Got a reply from JC Whitney! Here's the message:

They didn't tell me what the kit consists of yet though so I'm going to reply asking them about that. Still $298 don't sound too dang bad as long as it's a real suspension lift ...and really for our trucks

This is what I gather it includes from their site:

(B) Front torsion bars, upper control arms, differential lowering brackets and rear add-a-leaf springs.

she has no clue whats she is talking about man......that kit is for rangers and RBV's (ranger based vehicles....91-94 explorer, 82-90 bronco ii, 94-97 mazda)

lol idk. All I know is the kit offers many different set up and the one listed: "(B) Front torsion bars, upper control arms, differential lowering brackets and rear add-a-leaf springs." is what our trucks use.

She didn't say that part, it is from their site using the part number she gave me.

Yo Lime, you think these would have helped with your turning radius?

How do shackles work as well? I see on the black 84 that's posted it has like 3" shackles on it. How do they work to lift the trucks? Looks like to me they'd just flip forward or rearward lol instead of staying vertical.

longer shackles will push the end of the leaf down.....a shackle with the holes 3 iches out from stock will give you 1.5 inches of lift......
