Drove the truck alittle today and it seamed geared real low this is the first time i have really driven it since the 351/c6 have been in it. So when i got home i jacked up the ass end and counted the times the driveshaft went around. 1 complete revolution of the wheel the driveshaft only spun around twice so that would mean im in the 500 (somthings correct me if im wrong!) But i need to no if any other stock mazda has lower gears! Or if any company makes lower gears for my truck 65mph, im tackin like 3500 rpm...

HELP!

that should be about right......

about your only choice is to live with it or do an axle swap.....

you have (roughly) 4;1 gearing, 3.56:1 would probably be a lot better

NYTRDR24, where ya at man? Do u no how to figure out which gears are in the rear end without tearing it apart? Is there a tag or stamp on the axle itself?

stock mazda b2200 with auto tranny has a 3.91 rear axle ratio. at 65mph I am turning a shade less than 3000 rpm with the stock factory 14 inch wheels and 205/75/14s.There are no other rear ends that you can swap complete that i am aware of but a 3.3 ring and pinion from a 1982 b2000 will fit and might help a little if you can find one. bj

bump. Rx-7 tranny gears (some of them) will fit a 5 speed b2200 tranny but I dont think the rear axle will. bj

You don't happen to no the gear ration of the older mazda rears do you? And does it have to be an 82b2000 or can it be like 82-84??

Anybody no a website or where i can find out an interchangabilty guide?? Or would it make it better if i ran bigger tires?

I am sure that 82-84 will work. It is 3.3 to 1. BJ
