to me, mini truckin is a lifestyle. the lifestyle i lead. it has custom vehicles, some low, some not so low. to me, mini truckin doesn't necessarily mean you have a lowered mini truck. you could have a lifted truck fullsize and still be a mini trucker. its all the attitude and lifestyle.

ME, i'll never own a lifted ANYTHING. i'm low for life....

mini truckin is a deep thing. once you get into it, you can't let it go. its like an addiction. once you go to a certain amount of low, you have to go lower. you have to have better.

hanging out with truck buddies, truck clubs, and hanging out at truck shows is how we live our lives. alcohol, women, and trucks.

someone once said that it revolves around the
"4 b's... Bags Bitches Bodydrops and Beer."

as wyatt strange said once, mini truckin is something that not you or I will ever fully comprehend. "living life to the fullest and NEVER falling victim to "the norm"."

then, females, as chad lucas said once, "that is what trucks are for us sometimes-an outlet, a salvation, something for us to feel proud of that is ours, and no matter how crappy or unfinished it is, it's our baby." "the garage is our confessional. the truck listens and does just that: listens. No feedback is needed; no answers to be given; just quiet and then the sound of a sawzall."

ever since i caught the bug at age 14, in 2003... i've owned 3 mini trucks. 1989 Mazda B2200, 1985 s10, and now a 1992 Mazda B2600i. i've always been wanting to shave something, cut somthin up, or grind something. its a daily scenario for me.

since i don't have the money, like many other mini truckers, i draw out plans and stuff i'd like to have done. i draw "possibilities" of what my truck could look like when closer to completion. that brings me to another point.

our trucks will NEVER be done... once we think we are finished, we tear down and rebuild. it is in our blood. we can't leave anything alone...

and that is a tap into what i think mini truckin is...

-What is mini truckin to you?

I have the best of both worlds. I have a 91 b2200 thats in the process of being bagged and I have a 2004 Nissan Frontier with a 2" lift. One to get thru the snow, the other to plow it out of the way. lol

Hmm interesting lol.

I'm not in the "lifestyle" as you call it so maybe I shouldn't put in my own thoughts, but I am older and have a little different outlook and more experience in life so then again maybe I should comment

It is funny I used to have the same "I'll never own anything not lowered again in my life" attitude as you do at your age lol. I do love my truck, and I do think it looks better lowered. Does it need to be bagged? Nope. Does it need to be shown? Nope. Do I have it this way for attention? Maybe 20%. Really I have it this way cuz it's how I like it, not anyone else.

Also your thought that the "lifestyle" is about beer and women will, I'm sure, offend some. Tbh both of these thoughts will most likely change as you get older IF you mature as well. You will also none-the-less own vehicles that you feel don't need to be lowered or maybe even need to be raised lol.

So while you feel this way right now...at 17...trust me, I'm sure your attitudes and thoughts will change in say as little as 3-5 yrs. It's not a bad thing, I'm just saying right now your world may revolve around this "lifestyle" but as you get older priorities change, thoughts and your thinking process changes. You may even look back and say "man that was stupid for me to believe/think" in a few years/days/months.

I'm 32 now and have been into custom vehicles as far back as I can remember. My dad always had a "project" he was fixin up. We had our share of Chargers, GTO's, Chevys, etc. so it's always been in my blood. Though I too have never really had the "excess" cash to throw into a project and complete it. Now I honestly see it as a true waste of money, but yes I still do it lol. Hence this is why I don't have the home, clothes, cars I really desire...cuz I keep throwin money into vehicles and food lol. (yes it used to be beer and hotels as well ).

You can still be into the "craft" as I would call it, but I don't think the shows and stuff will be such a big deal to you as you age. There are exceptions I am very sure of so don't think I'm lumping everyone together.

Basically, enjoy it now, but don't think it is your "life".

I started minitruckin with a 1973 Datsun (not Nissan) "lil Hustler" bright orange, wheels, Datsun 510 buckets, header, etc.Since then I have had a 1975 REPU,81 Sundowner,88 2600 4x4,90 2600i, and my current 92 2200 LE.I have also owned many Mazda GLC's,323's Proteges, and a 85,91 and 98 626's.I LOVE Mazda's especially the trucks, cause they are cheap, easy to work on ,dependable and are the best looking pickup that was ever built.Mazda Minis for Life for me. My daily driver is a modded Volvo S40,but my pride and joy is a Mazda.BJ

that is why i put it "in my own words" that is how i see it now. i am sure i will eventually own a lifted truck, or hotrodded car. but as of right now, thats how i see it. and i never said i live by beer and women. thats what mini truckin is, in a relative way. myself, i don't drink unless i'm at show where i know nothing will happen. i don't drink any other time. and the women... i've only got one that i love, hopefully she'll be joining this site soon with a truck of her own. i am faithful to her...

i may change my thought process or whatever, but i know it'll always be in the mini truckin lifesytle... Down 4 life, never to be changed... sorry hotdawg... i disagree... i will NOT outgrow this lifestyle...
