i worked at a NHRA drag strip trust me they have brakes yes they have rear brakes not front though and the ones that have line lock have front and rear brakes

yeah you could always do that if you started sliding just drop it and drag to a stop

I doubt that its not that he doesn't want rear brakes . It's prob. that he doesn't feel like running the brake line, and he wants to do other things rahter than that. I dont have any and I have not had any trouble with mine, come on it's a mazda you can't go fast enough anyways to worry about abruptly stopping.

i took out the proportioning valve in the rear for mine, and didn't bleed them when i put it back together, so i might as well have no rear brakes. when i rebuild it i'm going to run 4wheel disc tho!!!

you may can run w/o rears, but it will wear out your front pads & rotors a lot quicker.....also say you do manage to make it for a year or so w/o having a wreck, then bam you do......if your insurance or po-po inspects the vehicle & determines it didn't have any, you will be liable for any & all damage that you cause......just a thought.
