i think limiting straps (or worse, chains) look like shit. they do serve a purpose. you can setup your shock to top out before your bag does, and nobody'd know but you. as long as your not hammering at the top of your shock riding around locked up all the time, it'll be fine.

True. I stole an off road style and you put the limit strap around your shock and ziptie it at the top and the bottom (where the shock gets narrow) limiting your shock travel. Then at shows or when you want a stupid amount of travel you just cut the zipties and remove the straps and know one knows the difference. Its kinda a pain but thats what you get when you didn't think of these things when you designed your rear setup and are too cheap to buy different length shocks.
