street racing isn't smart.






mikey, can you send me in the direction of where i can find this law that will destroy your car if cought street racing? sounds like a crock or crap to me.......the insurance companys and the government would make alot more from selling the vehicles crushing two 70k cars because the owners were racing is a little far fetched for my believing....

man,this law is for real. It was passed in 2006 and several vehicles were destroyed last year. The ERASE program was specifically started up to target & eradicate street racing. Since police were already able to seize vehicles,they decided that seizing and impounding vehicles was not enough,because one day they would end up back on the road and the idiots that race and crash would just get behind the wheel,so they wanted to come up with something that would really make people think twice about the consequences of street racing...and destroying the seized vehicles seemed like a good idea and the law was later passed.

I'm not sure where to find it,but perhaps you could check out the MTO's website. I think it's something like or something close to that.

Thats the law in Ontario now. They smash them, run over them, whatever and they usually put it on the news. I though the same thing as well that they would be better off selling them up like mikey said, they would just end up in another idiots hands.

Dragging is not the same as racing and will get you a dangerous driving charge or a wreckless driving as well as getting your plates pulled.

I remember last year when they destroyed the first 2 Hondas they caught,they had a photo of them on the front page of the newspaper with a front end loader driving right over them.
