Hard to tell from the lighting, but is that interior grey or blue? If it's grey,I need the headliner and the trim pieces in the corner of the cab above the seatbelts.

Looks like it's well worth it for parts. I have a set of those same wheels, lol

You can easily sell that stamped tailgate and the chrome door handles, and the door panels with the map pockets are pretty rare too.

Yes, some photos are dark because the flash did not go off for some reason. The interior is in fact blue.

I'm bringing the truck home Monday.

I'm sure there are parts that will end up for sale, I'm just not sure which ones yet.

I'll keep you all posted.

Cool stuff. You might be able to make your money back on that truck selling stuff on here. Too bad the back bumper is all beat up,that alone would pay for the truck.

Ya, I wonder how it got that way?

Well, I've been looking for about 18 months and its the first time a used one has come in under $500.

We simply don't have the population base up here (Winnipeg, MB - 700K inhabitants) to have much diversity.

I will keep the forum updated as to my progress.

Well, I got her home today... but man she runs rough.

The clutch is shot and so are the brakes. No matter, all this will be fixed by summer's end.

My son and I drove out to Stony Mountain and got the truck started without any trouble but my son had to make a gas run because the sellor had left the truck dry as a bone. I wasn't able to go faster than 80 km/h due to the clutch being so weak (I think). My son was following in the family van with the blinkers on so traffic simply changed lanes to get around me.

We ran out of gas about a kilometre from home so my son had to make a second gas run while I stood by the truck soaking up the sun.

Once we got her home we went over the truck from stem to stern. We decided that the donor truck would, in fact, become the recipient truck and my red Mazda would become the donor. Why you ask? Well, the interior of the blue truck is much nicer and we don't have to transfer the engine from the blue to the red truck, just the stuff we want (custom flatbed, doors, fenders, etc...).

Well, here is a series of pics for your enjoyment. Anyone want the stamped tailgate?

Took longer than expected but we started working on the trucks yesterday evening. We pulled a lot of stuff from the 87 to transfer to the the 86 (grill, mirrors, etc.).

Tonite I'm pulling the bumpers. Anyone have a diagram of where all the bolts are?

Cheers !!
