Sorry guys & gals, been a minute since I posted, but it's been hectic...
two weeks ago, I went to road test the truck so I could make sure it was running decent enough to
drive it with just the header to the exhaust shop....well it was running great on the first road test, but
the second was kinda stressful, one of the nuts that goes on the throttle shaft for the back carb decided
to come loose, which in turn threw the whole schebang outa whack...it took the rest of the day to try to sync them back, and on top of that, the darnd valve cover decided to start leaking toward the back of the engine...well fast forward to last weekend, it rained all weekend, so now work on the truck, and then I find out that our projects at work have lost funding due to a whole bunch of poo and I may be out of a job...so I spend the weekend updating the resume and hunting jobs....should find out something this week on my current job, and have been in contact with a couple other places for prospective jobs....now up to this weekend, I managed to get the carbs back flowing the same amount of air, but it isn't running as smooth as it did the first road test, more tuning, but running good enough that if the weather holds up, I'll try to get it to the exhaust shop next weekend.
I took this pic for Mikey, it gives better detail of the rear than I could get before, this was after the first road test when I pulled it back in the garage to check the plugs to see if it was rich or lean....
My wife took a vid this afternoon when I finally got it out and road tested it again, still needs some tuning, exhaust, and finishing the interior, but at least it made it out of the garage under it's own power!! It's taking forever to load on utube, so If I don't post it up tonight, I'll get it on here tomorrow...
