Nice mota'.If u ever get up to Chattanooga, look me up-we will see who has the baddest 2200 on the planet as it were. That is if u havent hit that 2200 with a 75 shot of nitrous in the meantime and blown ur 10k bucks out out ur bazoo.Lol.BJ

.....

you just got ass-raped, your truck will still be a pig stuck in deep mud holes on acceleration, and I'd LOVE to know where 10k went when you still have a stock fan to spin on the front of that engine.

Anyone with an engine swap will slaughter you....period. These engines are junk, and they arent capable of a lot. This aint a Gm or Ford engine. The F2Ts would prolly keep up with you, stock. Swap the turbo for an FP28 or 30 with some 660 to 750 injectors, and see you later.

BTW....what's gonna keep the engine from screaming when its not close to redline? Changing rear end? Transmission?

Sorry to be a dick....but 10k wont put 250 hp in that motor, and an LSX engine is 400+ and easy to build cheap, and more reliable.

blueprinted and blananced? I'd love to see this.

Polished rods?

I can see the intake and exhaust ports arent touched. Nice job!

do you know what that means? i get the feeling you take this as a big deal when it means nothing more than measuring and making sure the connecting rods and pistons are balanced perfectly with the crank. no big deal... why would you love to see it?

Mazdagraveyard - thank you for building the f2. its pretty bitchin.
i would like to know however why your running the clutch fan instead of electric fans?

I'd still like to see the HP numbers of a 10k F2

The point is that this isn't a HP machine, it's for looks and a little bit extra. Appreciate the work and don't hate on the guy. To each his own and that's it.

That motor looks amazing. You did a great job on it and she will sound nice and breath a lil better with all the new components in her .

How about the hp numbers of a 2k F2? 127,42 more than stock or about 50 bucks per hp.For about 8k PAeco will buld u an F2 that will deliver 240 hp without nitrous and will guarantee it for a year,so yes MazDAMN an F2 will deliver some pretty stout numbers if u r willing to pay for them. And by the way, these are not poorly built engines. They are sturdy, dependable little motors designed to last a long time, take a lot of abuse, and haul a small truck around at a sane rate of speed.Just because nut cases like us want them to do things they were not designed for is no rap on the motor. Its like asking a plow mule to become a race horse.Aint gonna happen. But I still love mine anyway.Hee-Haw.Lol.BJ

yall guys i guess havent seen what those guys with the 626's and probes are doing to these so called shit box motors

Nice motor man it looks good and glad you like it. And you guys got to remember that 10k is most likely not all parts and motor stuff. Alot of that is probably labor. Just think say the guy that done the blueprinting gets say 25 bucks a hour. It takes time to do all that stuff to blueprint a motor say 150 hours. Thats 3750.00 bucks then you got to think of the other stuff Say he had a mild port and polish. Same pay scale as before. It takes him 100 hours cause to do a good job and do it right it takes time. There is anther 2500.00 bucks so 2500.00 and 3750.00 is 6250.00 and thats not even counting the block work and parts. So yea I can see were someone who knows nothing about motors and how to build them can spend 10k to have someone build it for them. Why do you think that as custom truck builders we do most the work our self's or find a friend that will do it for us for a few beers.

As stated above,I dont think they are anywhere close to being a shitbox. They do have there limits, including upper end oiling,a sorry fuel distribution system, and no aftermarket support. But u can get 250 hp out of one and it will hold together-for a while at least. At some point, the Law of diminishing returns kicks in.How much more ya gotta spend to get a very small return and 250 hp seems to be it.Think about it -thats 100 hp+ per liter. If a V-8 Chevy did so well,a 350 crate engine would make 570 hp.Lol.bj
