I very seriously doubt he will get 250 hp, maybe for a split second with the juice just before it lets the magic smoke out, I'd say he's more in the range of 145-165 hp (max)......he might pass a v8 at the gas station, but with those flat top pistons & that very high comp ratio, he'll be paying $5 a gallon for racing gas just for it to run

stock mazda cam 210 dur 235
in the engine now 226 dur 250
racing cam 249 dur 275 will try at track

You got the 2.0 valve train assembly, right? (mainly rockers/lifters)



I cant tell, but the head doesnt look P&P in the pics...that would help a lot, as well as removal of that fan.

10k into a 13b rx7 (5 series or r-1) rotary motor, tranny and rear end.... maybe a shot of nitrous...... you could of easliy gotten close to (if not more) then 600hp to the ground...... motor looks great and its deffently not one that you will see in anybody elses b-series truck.... i think you put a lil to much into it thou for the hp-$ ratio...... you could of even went with a v8 swap and sunk half the money into it and gotten 600+hp.... but i do respect the hard work, time and money you've put into the motor..... like said /\ its a great looking motor..... good luck with getting it back up and running

yea i owned 2 88 yota's and was on juice and it still had balls.i was just comparing the f2 with the 22r on reliability only.mainly based on the fact how much torture i put my mazda thru and it still ran as if it were new (slightly exagerated) and never gave me problems.same goes for the yota's i owned. i dunno maybe i had a good one out the bunch?

finally some of you guys are getting the idea,anyone can buy a crate motor. The idea of this engine was to build something better than the factory, 2007 tech in a 20 year old motor. I wanted something no one else had, I decided to raise the bar in 2200s ,I have been lowriding mazdas for 20 years it is my one true passion. Building this engine took me on a quest any mazda owners know there is no mazda parts mag-we are the minority and lack of parts is our punishment it is also our inspiration to fabricate our own parts. This motor i feel is the baddest 2.2 on the planet ,i am not being cocky I have hundred of hours in research, mazda tech sheets, machining and polishing. This motor is for show and a lotta go(mazda hp) This engine is one of a kind, like it or hate it if you love mazdas you gotta respect it. unfortunately it can never be copied, i have bought out n.o.s. mazda parts, most nuts and bolts are long gone, it took me over a year just to aquire the bolts and hardware, hundreds of parts. My best friend owns a machine shop (speed shop) so i leave him the tech questions. 10,000 on engine you guys say is a waste, i have a 2.2 with everything brand new but flywheel,so haters you will never beat me and for all you guys who like it, you understand what its all about

nicely said bro. i still want to see it go down the strip. so take some video. my truck is slow as a turd so i want to see what one of these things can really do.

no problem on video,probably in dec,jan i will be running at track just waiting for cold weather, and to figure out better carb webber or holley for my application,by the way the stock fan is for show only, not for daily or track use
