thats the same ruger i used when i worked on an armored car crew, i carried it every day, and i ran a box of rounds through it at least twice a week and never had a problem. i think you will be very satisfied.

oh and the shooting test isn't that hard. i think in tennessee you only had to score 80%, but you want to be familliar with it incase you have to use it.

when my grandpaw died i got one of his guns...well lemme say this he had over 1200 pocket knives, some worth way more than others, 137 shotguns a few rifles and like 4-5 pistols. so yeah he was a hunter and trader. but anyways i got a double barrel 16ga. made by ithaca (out of ithaca ny) in 1938. beautiful gun, ill get pics with a good camera soon.
