Looks like a great start to a sick project! Have always like the look of those cars. I used to have a 1966 Beetle with a 1850cc motor, camber compensator on the rear and a set of original Porsche Speedster wide five rims. Had the big rag top sunroof as well - Very fun car.

So, I see the motor pic - can I assume you will be doing something a little better than a stock 1600?

Looks like you already have height adjusters on the front end - should turn out pretty sweet looking!

Also, really like how that floor pan turned out! Amazing what a little media blasting can do for a project.

The guy who started the project put in 3/16 dimond plate for the floor boards, needlees to say they are stout now.

Thinking about going and machining the engine so I can go to 1776 with duel port heads and single carb. Ive heard nothing but issues syncing the duaL carbs.

Looks very good man looks like you have made a lot of progress already. What kind of media was used for the blasting? I'm looking at buying a blaster for my project.
