I Can't thank everyone enough for the support I've been getting. Its incredible. At a time when i've felt the most alone our community has really come together to prove to me that I'm not alone. I know Todd has been in tears seeing how much support has been shown

I know the strain personally of losing a parent. I lost my mom in 2010.. I'm behind the 8 ball this pay period, I just broke a front drive shaft in my DD / 4x4 and I can't get home for almost 3 weeks now, so I have to take it into a shop for repairs

My deepest condolences.

Leland,
I'm sorry for your loss. I don't know what I'll do when I lose my mother:(

United Airlines, Delta, Continental, American Airlines, provides free or discounted rate airfair for family members who cannot afford to fly home for the death of an immediate family member.

Give them a call. They may be able to help you out. It's worth a try.

Everyone's support is unbelievable. I had Todd go ahead and send what he had collected last night over so we could start the transfer from Cortnye's Paypal to her bank account. as of last night there was 650 that Todd sent over, and anything he collects after last night i will get from him in person when i see him when I'm back in Washington. Todd and i have a hug it out and cry over moms session coming in the very near future.

Autopsy came back, in my step dad's words thru my sister " 'she had a very large heart; in more ways than one' she had undetected heart disease and enlarged heart- as soon as it hit there was nothing anyone could have done. She didn't suffer either which is nice to know. Maybe you can give randy call..he's lonely and misses mom a lot"

I'm trying to keep my mind on other things until i get home, the first couple days were really rough, but I'm not completely collapsing to the floor anymore. Now i can try to full my mom's role and be the support the rest of the family needs right now. It will probably be more devastating when i get home and mom doesn't jump out and go surprise.

I hope the trip went well despite the reason for it and you arrived "home" safely... I assume you're are back down south and life has settled down for you, at least a little bit. Dan
