Hmm - looks like thats the go for me then.

Was thinking about getting a 13b but after your little write up i think ill flag that.

Since im in NZ the only "readily" availble engines are the sr and the 13b.

Do yo have any more info on the SR20det swap DRTYHATCH?

what all has to be done to the kia motor to get it to work in the b2000? i have found one for under 300 bucks so i might get it if its a easy swap.

you will need the complete longblock, i.e. full engine with wiring harness, probably the wiring harness for the under the dash and the computer, i think you will need to change the oil pan out with the b2200 one, and make sure all your electronics are plugged up, that should be it, its not a weekend project though because of the wiring.

my 302 swap went realy easy. now im worried and my bodydropp i dont mind the motor sticking up just not 2 much that it is illiagal 2 drive on the road.

check out pictures of mine in the gallery to get an idea of where your motor will be. mine has a 3" body drop. just subtitute in my intake and all that and try and picture where yours will be and how high it will stick up.

Why hasn't anyone considered a turboed engine?

I see lots of small block 6 and V8s.

Anyone look into an import motors?
Smaller, less weight, GOBs of power and torque.

VW & Audi make KILLER 1.8 and 2.0 Turbos, 180-230+ HP!
VW VR6 size ofa 4 cyl, but is a true V6, 230+ HP!
Subaru makes the Boxter engine can be modded up to 300+ HP!
Porsche Boxter engines, 480+ HP! (Wheres the drooling smilie?)
