Sounds like a sweet swap i have a 351w v8 in mine and it runs very strong, putting it away for the winter though to work all the little bugs out of it, The sr 20 det isn't that the motor everyone puts in there 240sx's for drifting?? Dont really no much about Nissans

sr20det is supposed to be a bolt in swap into nissan hardbodys.......
phatkix   +1y
yeah thats the motor, in the drifting 240's and silvia's

a straight bolt in swap would be wicked for any hardbody owners

supposedly its the same as doing it in a 240sx. the 240sx and the hardbody uses the same engine.

think you have to fab a trans crossmember and move the shifter hole back some.....

mullet knows more about it though, he looked into doint it a while back into a hardbody......

All I know is I drove the RX-7 (put it to the test) and really want the motor. I know the 5.0 HO would be a much easier swap thought. I also know the 5.0 is easier and cheaper to rebuild. But I really want my rotary back! Im thinking about borrowing the money from a friend and just buying the 93 twin turbo from the guy. The swap would be nice but the car handles like a champ and is in mint condition with only 46,000 on it.

Lucky...I owned a '85 RX-7 GSL and took my friend's cousin's 2nd gen RX-7 for a spin.

Who could rape a RX-7 like that? *tear* Only a rotary engine belongs in a RX-7, or any RX for that matter. Oh well, not my decision.
