ECU only controls the feedback carburator on these trucks.

To check for ignition system,

1. Turn ignition switch ON
2. Pop the hood and remove ignition coil top cover.
3. Check voltage at the positive terminal of coil. Should be 12V
4. If there is no 12V, check ignition fuse, ignition switch.
5. If you can't trace the source, temporarily supply 12V to ignition coil.
6. Truck should start now.
7. If truck still won't start, pull dizzy center hi tension wire and put close to chassis ground.
8. Crank engine and check for spark.
9. No spark, check coil resistance on low and high side.
10. If coil checks out good, could be dizzy pick up.

well then im think dizzy pick up, cause coil is new. but just to be safe i will run each of those test tomorrow after school, and ill get back to you, thatnks alot for the help, ive ben kicking my own ass over this
