ahh the mazda problems everyone has, plan and smiple, the lifters are lossing their prime, it happens to all of them. but the only down side is that the lifters are about $80 each. i had the same problem, my fix, i just had an old 2000 head sitting around and put it on there, manual lifters are a lot better, plus youll get more compression out of that head which inturn means more power

synthetic oil works. if it is still ticking with it, then i'd just replace them.

it's a quick try, and it worked for my factory 92 2.2liter. i guess i just caught it in the early stages and it cleared them up quick.

but yea i have a 2.0 now, i just adjust the lifters every so often

AAAHH HA, I Found Some , about $9cdn for 16oz, not bad....my Question is, How much is a "Pint"?

it says: Pour 1/3 to 1/2 pint into oil crank case to clean rings, lifters, dirty parts and remove moisture.

How is this done. thanks

.Pour 1/2 the can into your oil via the oil filler cap, pour about 1/2 of what is left into u r gas tank.Drive the truck about 500 miles and then change oil and filter and pour the 1/4 can left into the crankcase and leave it there until u change oil next time.Should do the trick.I am running about a 1/4 can in my oil all the time as it seems ti keep the lifters clean and stops the rattle.BJ

umm 1/2 and 1/2 is 1 can, no?

Naw man. Pour 1/2 the full can in crankcase. Pour 1/2 OF WHAT IS LEFT (1/4 can) in the gas tank. U will have 1/4 can left.Let us know if it works for u. BJ
