the first part is exactly right. diode's are like the check valves of electricals. they let current go one way and one way only. but i'm sure diodes do not regulate voltage. that's a voltage regulator's job. and in our alternators, it is built into it, along with many different alternators.

o no biggie. jjust didnt want anyone to run an alt. that has no built in regulator and catch the truck on fire lol

I have a GM 1 wire 100 amp on my mazda with dual batterys, but mines v8ed and running 2 Air Zeniths...

i have a gm one wire and i made some nbrackets but i used alot of the stuck brackets i jus cut and grined the alt a lil bit and the stock mazda brackets

So that means I need a diode and a voktage regulator...

Can I purchase a regulator for external use?

Does anyone know how to dual the alt.'s? I'd like to know how to accomplish it. If I can't find an alt. to direct fit my truck, I hope that my school will let me use the welders and whatnot...
