did you install a throttle return spring or do you not need one, mine wont go all the way back without one, yes I do have some play in the line like the intstructions say I even tried making it real tight, but I have a 88 4x4 b2600 so my intake is on the other side.

No need for additional throtle return spring.
Goes back to idle on stock throtle spring.

On the Holley 5200, we had to put an additional spring.
The Holley 5200 throtle return spring is too soft or weak.

maybe its cuase my throttle cable is so long it just doesnt have enough to pull it all the way. and when I say its long, it is really long. go the the pass fender and returns to the drivers side of the engine to attach to the carb. I already cut it down some.
we narrowed my problem down to not keeping enough fuel in the bowl for the float, so it needs to be adjusted.

nice pics of the install 89b2200....correct me if i'm wrong, but in the last pic where the red w for weber is, isn't that the elect. choke, are you not gonna hook it up?

You are right, that is the electric choke.
It is not hooked up yet. The kit comes with a short wire and spade connectors.
I will look for a fused/switched 12V for now and hook it up directly to it.
With ignition ON, it will constantly be powered up.
I will install a toggle switch later to cut it OFF when engine is fully warmed up.

there should have been a wire for the fact carb's choke...at least on my 93 there is....no need to find a 12 v source.

Ooops, sorry not to be specific.
I know, the B2200 has a 6-7 volt power source from behind the alternator.
But this carb went to a friend's 1985 Toyota. Sorry I was not clear.
Is there a electric choke supply for toyota carb that I don't know of?
The stock carb was already removed when I helped him.
I guess I may have to look harder, ha-ha. Thanks.

I had to find a switched for my electric choke, there were just 3 larges plugs that went on mine. 88 b2600 4x4

but why would you need to install a toggle to turn the electric choke off, when it is warmed up, it will remain open. it is the thing that opens it in the first place, so wouldnt cutting off the power to it shut it?

just found out why mine would run right, they forgot to tighten 3 screws and was leaking the fuel out the bowl, then to top that off, my fuel pump went out, so now I am trying to find it so I can replace it, still havnt gotten to drive on it.

tru, i had a brain fart (title to post "yota"), i had my head up my wazoo......
not sure on the 85's, if the old carb is available, look @ it, if it had an elect choke, there should be a wire, if not, it might have been a mechanical choke, or water....
