83 b2000 timing ?

WHY WOULD THEY ONLY MAKE THEM FOR 2K'S?WHy not make them for 2.2s as well?Bigger market.BJ

can't answer that one bj, i think that was about the time offy went out of business, so they probably never developed one for the 2.2. canon used to make an intake for the 2.2 that used dual side draft webers, but they quit making those in the mid 90's (otherwise i would have gotten that setup instead of the down draft 38, less restrictive air flow & one barrel per cylinder) you can still find the side draft intakes for the yota 22r engines though....

H-m-m.Anyone ever experimented with an old intake off a 2200,saw the runners off,weld flanges on that would fit the dcoe side drafts and see what happened?Too pricey to experiment I guess.Would be nice to pop the hood of someones dawg and see side draft Webers lined up.Bling meter would go wild.BJ

there is a green ext. cab in this months mt, the owner is from japan, he had a custom intake made for 2 45 dcoe webers.....can you say OH YEAH!
i have though about designing one if the 38 & stock mani don't meet my expectations, just haven't figured out what to do with the coolant lines that run thru the factory mani in the new design.....bypass them, or leave them....they would help in cold weather, but in normal operating conditions a cooler air/fuel charge = more power so you wouldn't want them.......

Put a thermocouple in the line that would close off if temp reached a certain point,kind of like a reverse thermostat.BJ
