Is this "vent" actually a vent or is it a threaded port? You should have a vent in your cap, but depending on your Fuel Cell!

If it is threaded like a normal port then yes you should be able to use it!

I wouldn't dril/tap your own vent unless you have a way to pressure test the Fuel Cell afterwards!

I wouldn't know for sure, but thats my two cents!

Good Luck!

devb22, it's all good!, one of those type pumps will work too, just need the right psi & flow rate...

if it is actually your vent, use the vent as a vent, and, you will just drill a hole of the corresponding fitting size (hi-flow fuel cell inlet fitting), you won't tap the mat'l as it is too thin to thread reguardless if it is alum., or plastic....

my cell is a summit(290104)plastic 16 gal. i was reading the paper work it says it has 2 -8an outlets on bottem and 1 6-an return fitting on top . my gas cap is vented.on ebay it said the -6an fitting was a vent fitting.so if the cap is vented and there's a fitting on top it should work wright?please somebody let me know.

same as mine, but it is a jaz & has a sending unit.....cap off one of the bottom fittings, use the other as the feed to the pump, and use the one on top as your return......read the mfg's of the pump / reg you use specs on the size piping you need...mine had a 6an for return on the cell & the aeromotive reg specs said to use an 8an return.....so i had to swap my top fitting out...if you don't do this the smaller line will increase the psi @ the regulator & you won't be able to adjust it correctly.
