plugged filter wasnt the problem

ya if its carbed, check the filter in the carb whre the fuel line goes in. there is a little itty bitty tiny eency miney filter in there... it may be clogged, it was on my 81...

those small inexpensive(free) problems are the best. glad you got it figured out!!
