True, true, a stand alone would be the way to go, but for ease (cost effective) of install a 12v head with the dizzy on the front end would be nice....More or less wishful wanting so to speak, I prolly won't do much of anything more to this motor I'm fixing to get back other than get it in good tune and dependable.
If I do get my courage (and money ) up and decide to build another motor, it will for sure be a 16v with a
nice turbo setup....

As the man says Fred, smok'em if ya got'em (tires that is), and hopefully soon I too will have a nice vid like yours of a smokey burnout posted up on the bscene!!

12v without boost is a waste of time IMO. And if you get boost you must have a computer to run it. A self assembled ms1 is pretty bloody cheap (150us or so) so there is no excuse IMO. For the record, getting a head across to you would be in the order of 300us + ... sooooo not worth it.

When you post vids, PM me

Dealwithit has some sweet vids if you want to watch f2t power in action.

I've had the same said about the 8v....but I didn't know about the 12v or even the 16v until I had already gone too far down the path with this engine....$300 isn't bad, I figured it would be more....thanks for the info on the vids I'll be sure to check'em out...and I'll also be sure to shoot ya a pm when I get a vid of it running.

Bump for some vids:

< Boosting on FreeEMS
< Idling on FreeEMS post boost
< New sched code, no tune
< Craig and I cruising around.
< Someone street racing it without my permission or knowledge...

ETC.

Holy shit! Looks like I was recommending MegaSquirt above. Bizarre! I certainly wouldn't do that now!
