Looked on the internet all damn day yesterday and found this site, and finally found some info on this carb. It seems that it has a problem with sticking allot and most people just upgrade to a weber. Well I do not have the time or funds right now to upgrade to a weber carb so I brought a rebuilt kit. Does anyone have the info on rebuilding a b2600 and not a b2000? or 2200?
It seems that most of the members have just these models ( I'm guessing because there all lowered or slammed to hell) I live in Massachusetts and slamming a truck is always a bad idea if you want it to last more then a year plus it's illegal here (our roads suck very very bad).
I've also been trying to find some good info on exhaust and lift kits. I've looked everywhere and couldn't find any headers for the 1988 4x4 king cabs, b2600 models. This truck is really starting to piss me off, in the past two weeks I have replaced the heater core, done a full tune up, replaced the whole brake lines on the drivers side, fuel filter, battery, slave for the clutch, sea foam out the engine, and now I have to rebuild the stupid carb. and it still needs new brakes. So if I can't get this thing to stay running when I come to a stop and start back up I'm scraping it this week!!
So please can someone please first help me out with the carb issue on this pile? then with finding a set of headers for this thing? I really want to rebuild this carb today and get it back into the truck so that I can drive in the 12 inches of snow that we just got last night.
Hell you can even im me online about this thing
