the only prob is my wheels are a yota bolt pattern ...so heres what ive done so far i got a new rearend out of a yota and i got the hubs rotors and calipers so im gonna try to make somthing work both models ball joints bolt in so ive seen this done in a version of minitruckin on a mazda the took and redrilled the holes in the control arms for the bolts so that the yota joints would fit how hard is this i have no clue anyone know ?

oh man, my suspension is definently not the easiest way to go, but it works & looks good: '97 2wd tacoma rear axle, modified driveshaft, complete '97 tacoma front suspension including spindles, upper & lower control arms, hubs, rotors & calipers, custom strut rods moved to the rear, upper integra ball joints moved outward & angled down(stock ones had too much bind when layed out), stock mazda tie rod ends flipped around & cut down 1" because i had like 24 degrees toe-out when it was layed out. this setup lays body on 20's.i'm gonna change the hell out of this setup soon, though.

but isnt the tacoma a 6 lug also?? and why did you go thru all that trouble when there are proven easier ways of doing it?just askin, not raggin on ya.

Tacoma's are 5 lug for the 2wd.
4X4 are 6 lug.

well, the majority of the suspension mods were done before i got the truck & i would have done differently too. they couldn't get it to lay out on 20's with the stock suspension. i'm re-doing all of it this summer.

Draggindoors you should post up some pics of the current setup if ya gots a digi-cam. it would be interesting to see some of the stuff that people slap together.

I'm doing the conversion only I'm using the kustom werx control arms and belltech spindles but i need to know if the 84-94 toyota rear axle is narower than the mazda because i want to run 20 x 10 rims in the back
hybrid   +1y
yes that axle is 4 inches narrower(i think)i cant remember the measurments.if you notice i have a 84-88 yota axle on the back of my truck and stock 6 lug in the front.one thing i need to know from some one with 1st hand experience on doing the front.i need to know what problems the tie rods will bring.

don't know yet i'm getting ready to do the front of my truck and i was wondering about the rear because i was going to redrill mine but i want to run 20 x 10 rims and i don't have any where to get my axle narrowed

well if your going to be putting links on it in the process then i recomend getting the yota axle.
