oh, but i do! im not the one gettin all bent outta shape about this retarded shit!

i realize that my opinion is not favored from time to time, its all good though b/c when im out there rollin my truck, i know what works for me and what doesnt...

good stuff buddy...your not gettin bent outta shape at all.

LOL... seriously though... we both know the 2-link vs 4-link epic battle will never end... so just remember we've each got our personal preference's, but like I said... i'd never recomend a 2-link over a 4-link to anyone.

Cheer more beers! thats it thats all.

pre fab kits are the shit for daily drivers, buy em and install em....makes for a very reliable setup!!! not hatin at all, just sayin prefab, s10....might as well be a 2link on a mazda....and i dont give a fuck what your doing to your mazda, not like it hasnt already been done before, same goes for me, everything im doing has been done already,

i wish you luck on your truck, if you lived closer id gladly come help ya but ya know....on yea btw, when you do the 5lug convo, you will have to shorten the tierods just a bit....its no big deal though...

so you go on with your build and while you dont recommend a 2link or encourage them, i will encourage them only if they will be setup to function....

Thanks for the encouragement...

I've got more issues to worry about than shortening the tie-rods as im converting to RHD as well... should be exciting!

The game plan right now is to have the frame and suspension and hopefully the RHD done for June.

Thats workin on it in the evenings and weekends at the shop, whenever it goes in.... hopefully in under a month... but who knows.... and who cares... it'll get done soon enuff.

And your right... there is nothing wrong with a prefab kit on a daily... thats all my sonoma was... drove it everyday till I sold it.... the mazda will be my daily when its done too... only i've got no intentions of selling it.. haha.

Anyways... hopefully this thread can get back on topic and the guy that started it has the answers he needs.

Aight guys as far as the 18", I was just using that numbere as an example. Obviously they would have to be longer. But anyways thanks everyone for postin the usefull information.

Another thing... why buy the metal from SD... after shipping and BS you could have just gone to your local Metal Supply place and gotten it, and for less probably.

So what I am guesing is the long the 2 link bar the better? So If I make the bars long and mount the bags closer to the cab it will give me more lift? Also a panhard bar goes from axle to the frame correct?

Haha yeah this topic is a little crazy, but does contain some good info.
Mpenner49 yes the longer the bars are the better off you'll be, but length within reason. You can only make them so long, because your drive shaft is only so long. Also I'm shure you want your wheel centered in the wheel well. And yes about the closer to the cab you mount the bags on the bars the more lift you will get out of them. Check out bagmanz truck he said he is getting around 14" of lift. I think that would be perfect, although I am not really fealing the cut leaf spring welded to the link bars but hey. If he fellz safe and it worked for him why not.
Also impule u are very right, I wouldent buy my tubing from suicide doors but hey some people don't have metal supply shops around, or mabye some just fell more comfortable buying there stuff from a internet store.
Peace
