Think you might have miss worded this. If you put the block between the shouck plate and the leaf spring it would only move the shock mount down, not drop the truck. The only way that you are going to lower the truck is to move the AXLE up on the leaf. Anything else other than changing the location of the leaf spring mounts wouldn't lower the truck.

Correct, the blocks below the leaf spring do nothing to lower truck (thats where the de-arched springs come in). The block was there only so that I would not have to use aftermarket shocks that are VERY short. The down side is the spring plate is still very close to the ground

may be true, but i have them on for about a year now, leafs pulled for about 6 months now, and have had 0 problems. other than the fact that yes i do hit a lot of stuff in the road, but not from the leafs. i hit because i have 3" lowered control arms and the torsions cranked about another inch and my crossmember catches whatever it can. don't get me wrong, there is evidence where the spring plate is also hitting. but that will be getting fixed in the hopefully near future when i bag her.

^^^ oh, and i also keep a pretty close eye on my entire truck. it is my daily so i like to be on the safe side so i look it over all the time. peace.

guys thanks for the input and the offers for the leafs. I'd love to pick them up,but I'm holding off till the spring. I'm completely broke,I'm on a temporary 1 week layoff right now, with another week of layoffs coming in November.

I don't want my truck totally slammed with a static drop,I want to keep it safe and driveable and look obviously lowered. I'll also only be running 15" wheels, and I do live out in the boonies. I just want the truck to sit low and level and be a noticable drop. The truck rides like crap even stock,so I'm not concerned about the ride quality at all.
