Air Shocks ??

Ok so I was listining to 2 guys I work with talking about putting a set of air shock on there trucks, one is a 89 mazda b2200, the other is a s10 pickup. I didnt get to involved becuase Im not a suspension guru. Steve (s10 owner) was saying that if you used air shock you would be able to adjust the front and rear, just not get the drop bags do, so he plans on lowering his truck with block and mono and Im not quite sure the front, so that the shocks are almost bottomed out so he can have the adjustability, for half the cost of bags, does this make any sense to you guys and would this even work. I searched the site prior to asking this.

I guess my main question is could you do a static drop and use the air shocks for adjustability, or are these 2 guys out of there mind?

i have a 6/7 drop on the daily the purple one in my sig i threw air shocks on the back to give it support and to lidt it up a bit to keep the axle away from the frame, and also i can fill em right up and then even maybe carry somthin .lol

so could this be used for an adjustable suspension? I know it would be old school but I would like to use somthing like this if so seeing the roads are kinda shitty out here, and I dont plan on bag"n till the cashola's there for a bd drop as well. But if this could work I would love to be able to have a super low static but the ability to drive with a somwhat stock height, exspecialy over the nginormous hills we call speed bumps arround here.

it gives you like 2-3" its useless and you will be made fun of it you use it for more then support,haha

theres no harm in air shocks for support, but using them fr adjustable suspesnion is just gay,lol

shitttttttt they actually work pretty well if you bore them out and run bigger line, as i learned on here.

Im from the old shcool myself...I would like to have bags all the way around, but with the wife and 5 kids, my finances suck...i have air shocks on the rear with 3 in blocks and mono leaf...im not laying frame yet but my frame sits on the axle and when i put air in i get about 6-8 inches of lift...when i get back to nc at the end of jan...im putting air shocks on the front and im step notching the frame with 4 link and crossbar on top so i can relocate the air shocks. when Im done i will lay frame with air shocks and at full raise will have a comfortable ride NOT dragging anything on the ground. this will do until i get bags..i dont care who makes fun of me im too damn old to care....besides I personally have never seen anyone lay frame with air shocks. I feel pretty good about that. Just remember....its only until i get the money for bags. The set up im doing is the right way and when i get bags...i will only have a little bit of modification to do..hope that helps...

If you want to be different why not run air cylinders? I've seen pics of a yota running air cylinders with vw motor out back.

I've had similar thoughts myself, about air shox or cylinders too. I dont make fun of people on here if I can help it. LOL
