if mine was atleast tall as these two it would be fine. perfect for a daily...

I know it sounds like a lot of work - BUT I was thinking of swapping in an IFS from a 86/87 4runner 4X4 . thinking of leaving out the diff and axels - run it 2WD - woner how much travel I would get from it.

The 4Runners of the era have 150 mm of travel. I measured my 4x4 suspension to have about 5". I suspect that the 4x2 is less than that.

If you're gonna go crazy how about the Tacoma 4x4 suspension? 195mm of travel, almost 8 inches!

How tall are those tires with the 3in body lift?
