didnt seth do your truck? lol i feel like an ass now, his work is unsurpassed, he for sure knows what hes doing, but i dont know if he knows these trucks axles are offset from the factory

Yea, Seths the sh!t, thats why ive been scratching my head thinking its something else, i dont drive her locked up (learned taht the hard way), and ride height is about 4-6 off the ground. I'm gonna have seth beef up the crossmember and possibly dress up my shifter with a beer tap...

sweet shit man, yea hes good at what he does for sure, cool guy to chill with too. worse case scenario take it a driveline shop who specify in driveshafts and what not.. they will firgure it out in no time.

Right dude, thanks. can't wait to get her back from the shop and swing by seths for a beefy crossmember. Shoot, im thinking of taking her to the show in cloverdale ....not really sure if shes show worthy though....

a lot more show worthy than my truck haha, take it anyway man who cares, pull the bed off and set it beside the truck at the show, your suspension set up is titties man

Yeah I''m the one that did it.

The driveshaft pushes into the carrier bearing at lift, because the 4-link pulls the axle forward. It gets a lot of lift. I got about a foot out of it on the 90 PSI my shop compressor puts out.

Theoretically it should get another 4-6 inches. Because the driveline is so short, and its set up for so much lift, and the 4 link is shorter than it could have been (it was pre-ordered) it happens to push the driveline in. My truck is about the same wheelbase and has a one piece driveshaft, and I love it. And my truck has a much larger wheel arc than Manny's truck does. Because my 3 link is shorter than his. I think with a 1-piece driveline, the travel would not affect it as much.

Manny, theres a good driveline shop out here about 8 miles from my house that will do it. When you come back for the bodydrop, we can possibly do it then. I'll be cutting the cab so modifying the rear tunnel won't be a big deal. Then all I have to do is modify the crossmember where the carrier bearing mounts. Its up to you though. People have mixed opinions on this. I never liked the 2 piece drivelines for a lot of travel. They seem to work fine if you get less than 8 inches of lift though.

I hear ya seth, i was thinking that your fab work would have to be redone for some reason, i'm gonna be breaking the bank if i go this route, im sure its about 3-5hun for the driveline, specially if i want a puurty one.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think if they just retube one its about $200 balanced. That means they use your stock ends and put a new tube in the center, weld it and balance it as needed. Now if you want an aluminum one, I'm sure that would be the pricey one. The other route would be to find a stock driveline, but I don't know if the Mazdas ever came with a one piece.

But no nothing would really need to be redone. That crossmember will just need to be clearanced, and so will the cab. But it won't be a big deal since I will be cutting the back wall already anyways.

I can call them and get a quote though. Theres only one place out here I trust to do a good job.
