flameds10... i'm loving the firewall and sheetmetal work on your truck... i'm planning on shaving my firewall as well to lay out on 22's... with your 20's.... what did you do about the brake booster and the proportioning valve???

btw... flameds10... how tall are your rims and tires overall? i'm going to be running 255/30/22 tires which are 28" overall along with 4x4 fenders and 4x4 bed... i dont really want to cut off the added length of the 4x4 sheetmetal to lay out... so more than likely i wil have to sfbd from the cab back and z the front frame 1-2"

brake booster is stock, didn't have to modify anything, as for my truck when i bought it it was a manual transmission, when i did the 20's i woulda had to move the clutch but i ended up just switching over to auto trans so i could just get rid of the clutch master!

i wanna say my 225-30-20's are 24.5 i believe, or 25.3, one of those, i don't have my 20's anymore as i sold them to a buddy to run on his toy, and i'm saving up for billit intro 20's

as for the bed my old wheels were a 20x8.5 and they rubbed abit on the bed up towards the bodyline when layed out

damn quick reply...lol.. i'm running 22x8 wheels .. how wide are your 20s your frame is tight as well... a friend of mine runs a powedercoating shop here in jax, fl... i talked him into powdercoating my frame chrome.... which is a few months off cause i gotta go buy like 40' of 2x3 steel and damn near 100' of both 1x1 square and 2x2 square.....so i can get my frame ready for coating... what size steel did you plate your firewall with? i'm thinking of 16 ga myself....

looks like you replied as soon as i wrote my question.....lol i have ordered my front bumper like yours... only im getting the mazda 4x4 ends on mine as well as having it shipped off to be chromed

kool, chrome powder coat looks cool, all the sheetmetal on my truck is 16 gauge,

when laying the front out on yours go with z'in the frame and dropping the motor, i went with spindles which was a mistake cause the aim spindles are shitmy truck was set up with 20x8.5 rims with a +40 offset and they just barley rubbed, but i sold then and am buying 20x8 or 20x7.5 billits with the highest offset i can get

yea, i bought my bumper like 1 1/2 years ago, when i ordered it they added a section to the middle of my bumper to make it taller so it sits just off the ground when layed out, as for the 4x4 ends when i ordered the didn't have a jig for the 4x4 ends like they do now, so when we got my bumper we extended it ourselves so it lines up with the 4x4 fenders, just don' have any pics of it

i have 22x8 rims and if i measured the offset correctly i have +30 (28.5 to be exact) but...i have a proportioning valve on my truck that i didnt see in your truck (i will get a pic of it tomorrow or tuesday and post it up to show you what i am talking about. i was plannng on originally running 22x9" boss 331 with +40 offset... but it would have cost 1700.00 i picked up my wheels for 500.00 brand new and got my brand new tires 255/30/22 for 275.00 so i just saved over a grand right there... free mounting , balancing, and free lugnuts. after my tires get mounted wednesday i'm gonna start yanking out the engine and all associated parts and figure out where i'm gonna start cutting at. i just hope i can sell my roiginal engine and tranny asap so i can get some cash to get a few new parts for my 302 im dropping in.

with that offset your gonna have problems tucking, in the back u can just narrow the rear end, but in the front your gona need to narrow your frame to tuck them
